December '09 - La Seigneurie Gardens Christmas Fare
On Saturday 5th December Hathaways opened its doors for the first Seigneurie Gardens Christmas Fare. Beneath holly and ivy draped beams there were stalls selling a festive array of local crafts from handmade soaps and decorations to prints, cards, paintings and textiles. Hathaways staff had a delicious selection of homemade pickles, puddings, biscuits and chocolates with plenty of samples to taste. As well as selling their goodies at the fare, they were also taking orders for 'made entirely on Sark Christmas hampers'. The weather was rather miserable but with a jug of two of mulled wine and plenty of visitors, La Seigneurie Gardens first Christmas Fare was a great success.
